Description:

Sustainable shrimp farming can be achieved only by improving the water quality in shrimp farming. The only way to improve water quality in shrimp farming is the application of probiotic bacteria to the ponds. This type of technology is known as bio remediation, which involves manipulation of micro organisms in the ponds to reduce pathogenic bacteria, (by competitive exclusion and by producing anti bacterial substances) and to enhance mineralization of organic matter and to eliminate undesirable waste compounds.
